A quick weight loss diet means eating weird food or food combinations and battling constant cravings for foods we can't have, right? Many times that's exactly what it means - but you can turn your thinking around when it comes to quick weight loss.
Your body desperately wants to be at its best. We have all heard that our bodies have built-in survival processes that make it easy for us to gain weight and difficult for us to lose weight. In ancient times our bodies would store fat during times of plenty and slow our metabolisms during times of famine so that fat would be burned slowly and we would be able to survive. Our bodies still do that today. This makes perfect sense, and we can't help but marvel at how our bodies work to take care of us - but we also realize that this isn't very conducive to quick weight loss. This is also why many quick weight loss diet plans don't work.
What we need to know is that our bodies not only want to survive, but also want to be at their physical best. Think about it: in ancient times it wasn't just about eating; it was also about working hard and surviving by being strong and fast. You can see that our bodies are geared toward having a happy balance...it's what they want. When you've gained too much weight there actually is a quick weight loss diet that works with your body to keep it healthy while keeping it on the road to being stronger and leaner. A healthy quick weight loss diet is one that gives your body all of the essential nutrients that it needs to run at its best, which causes a domino effect: good nutrition equals more energy which naturally equals more exercise which makes us feel more positive which keeps us on the path of good nutrition. Simple, but so amazing!
We all have to turn our backs on fad diets that leave out essential nutrients, and realize that we can achieve quick weight loss and still be healthy and happy.
